Sights you mustn’t miss
Take a ride on the Boise Trolley Tour in the North End of downtown. This is an excellent way to see and learn about the history of Boise.Visit the Old Idaho State Penitentiary, and get an idea of how criminals used to spend their time. No video games, computers, gym or the like back then.
Visit the Whittenberger Planetarium and “take a ride” outside Idaho, and into and beyond the stars.

Book a white water rafting trip on one of Idaho’s famous rivers, the Snake, Salmon or Lochsa River. Day Trips
One of the best and most popular day trips are north on highway 95 to Banks along the Payette River. A stop and a dip in the Kirkham Hot Springs, on to Stanley where you can hit the deli for sandwiches and beverages for a picnic might work. Find someplace to stop and enjoy the views of the Sawtooth Mountains.Another great daytrip is to drive to Table Rock and then up to the Snake River Canyon. Don’t forget the camera.
