When to Visit Based on Price
The low season, and best prices are found during May, June, September and October. Keep in mind that with good beach weather all year long, weekends are busy too. If you are a diver, the best time of year to dive are traditionally these low season months.

Low Season: May, June, September and October are less busy. Average Daily Rates of:

High Season: November through April is the busy tourists months. Average Daily Rates of:

Sights you mustn’t miss

Puerto Galera, its waters and beaches are the “sights you mustn’t miss” and has all the “fun things to do”. Unlike most other vacation destinations where there are interesting places to visit, virtually everything you are coming here for is in the town, on the beach and waters.

Fun things to do

The majority of visitors are coming here for the Scuba Diving and or the beaches. It has unbelievable underwater sights from fish and coral to ancient shipwrecks to explore down there. Remember, this was a major shipping port and many a vessel with its “ill gotten booty” could still be down there. With over forty excellent dive sites, this is an excellent adventure for the experienced diver to those that want to learn.
Take a small boat or rent a jet ski to do some island hopping. There are plenty of smaller islands a hop and a skip away, so finding your own private “castaway island” is one of this areas attractions.
If you find the need to get away from sand and waters, why not play a round of golf on top of the world? There’s actually a golf course on top of the mountain over 2000 feet high with awesome views of Puerto Galera cove.
Another fantastic adventure, especially if you have youngsters aboard is the jungle paintball courses at a local adventure park. Also at the park are dune buggies and go carts for rent.

Wine and Dine Tips

A great place for adults to hang out at after a day on the water and beach is the Bikini Floating Bar. Located at the end of a 100-meter dock, you will enjoy awesome sunsets over the harbor, sipping a cold cocktail with an umbrella in it, and good bar food.
If a terrific steak and bottle of red are enticing, try another local and visitor favorite is Papa Fred’s Steakhouse. Featuring Indoor and outdoor seating, featuring steaks, seafood, pasta and more.
Another favorite that won’t “break the bank” is The View Point Bar & Restaurant where you can enjoy local seafood. This place sits up on the side of a hill where you will enjoy spectacular views.

Day Trips

The fact is that the only “day trip” from this island is to one of the other islands for some secluded swimming and snorkeling. Maybe a picnic lunch or barbeque is in order.
