The annual Mardi Gras parade in Tower district draws visitor from all over, and the Rogue Festival every March is a popular fringe event showcasing music, theatre, dance, comedy and movies featuring both local and national artistes and performers.

River Park Plaza is a dining hub for Fresno residents and visitors alike, offering steaks, grills, sushi and a good number of bars and chain outlets.
The Tower district has the best overall choice of cuisines presented by local restaurateurs, and various fine dining venues such as Campagnia on East Champlain Drive can be found.
Downtown is best for nightlife, with half a dozen trendy bars and clubs offering happy hours and late-night dancing.

Day trips


The pretty town of Clovis is a short drive away, and boasts a historic old district lined with antiques and crafts stores.
Millerton Lake is under an hour away with its fishing, boating and waterskiing opportunities, and the fringes of spectacular Yosemite National Park are just over an hour’s drive away.
