Sights you mustn’t miss
Visiting Old Sacramento qualifies for both sights you must see and fun to do. This town of Sacramento started here in Old Sac as settlers who were intent on becoming rich during the gold strike call it, back in 1848. Stroll the old wooden plank walkways, visit the shops, have an old time ice crème or enjoy lunch or dinner.Visit the California State Railroad Museum and see a world class exhibit of old steam engine trains and equipment. Who doesn’t get excited when they hear one of these old trains fire up the engine and ride up the track. Visit and you will join them.
A visit to the Sacramento Zoo is a terrific experience, for some exercise, exotic animal and plant experiences, and photo ops. From big cats to Kangaroos and apes, this is one of the nicest zoos in the states.
